July 11, 2006 Domodedovo International Airport announced the results of the tender for design of a multilevel parking and office facility to be built near the airport.

The winner of the tender was Ob’edinenie Ingeocom ZAO. Gorproekt ZAO, TsNIIPROMZDANIY OAO, Mospromproekt GUP, Rospromproekt ОАО, Cyvas General Trade Ltd and many other companies took part in the tender as well.

Apart from the parking, the scope of works covers design of entrance-exit routes, road interchanges, as well as all utilities, including security and fire-fighting systems.

Ob’edinenie Ingeocom ZAO, which is engaged in design and construction activities for approximately 20 years, carries out engineering surveys, including geotechnical and geodetic surveys, conducts survey and research activities for new and existing metro tunnels. The company is also engaged in new construction and renovation of old buildings in accordance with its own designs. The company, for instance, implemented the following projects: Manezh Square in Moscow, Okhotnyi Ryad Trade and Entertainment Center, perimeter overhead road around the central part of Moscow-CITY International Business Center, Atrium Trade and Entertainment Center (with an underground parking), etc.

The main reasons for selection of the contractor for Domodedovo multilevel parking design were its sound reputation in the market and extensive experience in multilevel parking design. Another important criterion was the proposed project completion timing.

The multilevel parking for 5000 vehicles is to be built in the center of the landside. The facility will include four underground and nine ground floors. Its total area, including office premises, will be approximately 200 thousand sq.meters. The new building design will perfectly match the design of the new terminal façade, which is currently under construction.

Construction of the multilevel parking in Domodedovo is a part of the airport upgrading program, which is implemented within the framework of Domodedovo airport facility development concept. The primary objective of the concept is to expand the passenger terminal facilities and ensure provision of a wider range of passenger services, including the construction of a convenient and modern parking lots.
