With warehousing spaces occupying around 13,000 sq. m. and cargo handling capacities able to process up to 800 tons of cargo a day - 10 times more than the average output of cargo terminals in most Russian airports, JSC DOMODEDOVO CARGO is the largest international air cargo handling facility in Russia.

The terminal operates 24 hours a day offering the full range of services for all types of cargo, including dangerous. The cargo handling terminal offers customs clearing services (including electronic declaration), delivery of goods to any point in the Moscow Region, at the customer's choice, and cargo transportation through Domodedovo to other international and domestic airports.

For our customers' convenience, companies providing freight forwarding, brokerage, and cargo transportation services representing various most of partner airlines have their offices near the airport's cargo terminal.

The terminal provides fork lift trucks, service lifts, lifting and batching tables, pallet rack structures, weighing equipment, refrigerator and deep freeze facilities.

Customer security is a top priority at Domodedovo Moscow International Airport. The airport boasts of state-of-the-art video surveillance systems as well as specialty equipment, such as a spectrometric complex (SKS-50), gamma ray spectrometer, and radio spectrometer, among others, are used in the handling, storage and transportation of fissionable and radioactive materials.

To provide customers with all necessary real-time information, JSC DOMODEDOVO CARGO offers a self-service terminal placed directly in the terminal building to provide access to information about cargo terminal services, status of forwarded or received cargoes, and Domodedovo Moscow International Airport flight schedule. Cargo information resources are supplemented with the web page (www.domodedovo-cargo.ru). Using this resource, customers may remotely finalize documents, automatically calculate tariffs and monitor multiple cargo status.

If necessary, cargo facility specialists are ready to provide assistance in locating cargo information.

In the near future, JSC DOMODEDOVO CARGO plans to develop:

• new warehousing spaces;
• radio frequency identification technology (RFID) for cargo processing;
• additional packaging services;
• new transportation and logistical cargo forwarding chains;
• wider cargo distribution network.

To achieve the above targets, we plan to:

• reconstruct the cargo receipt/delivery area;
• construct a multi-level packing warehouse;
• put the container and pallet handling line into service;
• install highly efficient motorized container handling equipment, storage facilities for packing tools, new models of warehousing and apron units;
• create a computer-aided cargo space reservation system conforming to international standards;
• develop a software application to keep record of packing tools.
